I Would Describe Myself As Age is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. It is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will and quality of the imagination, a vigour of the emotions. It is a freshness of the deep springs of life. I seek a younger woman, because I live a life of someone half my age. I have been one of the blessed of this world being in a marriage made in heaven for 42 years. My wife and I only had 3 days apart in all this time and travelled to over a hundred countries together. However, just when you think life is perfect, God always has one more custard pie up his sleeve. For us it was terminal cancer. When the Doctor said we needed a miracle, I arranged an audience with the Pope at the Vatican in Rome to see if his blessings would save her; they didn't. People said we had everything, but I said, "Yes, but we don't have tomorrow." It is sad when the person who gave you the best memories becomes a memory, but what memories they were. However, I am greedy, and in the words of Oliver Twist, " I want some more." I want new memories, and a second lifetime with another special lady. Our marriage was so special because I kept it fresh and exciting. Love withers with predictability. Its very essence is surprise and amazement. To make love a prisoner of the mundane is to lose its passion and kill it forever. You can be hurt by love, but in the end it is always worth it. After all, love is the most wonderful of all frustrations.
