  • Kuvailisin itseäni I'm an educated person who finds something fascinating in almost every topic, situation, or person. I'm a professional in the scientific fields, so I adore intelligent conversation with people who are excited about life in general. Even though my mind is going 24/7, I personally don’t have to be going somewhere or doing something every minute of every day. I work full time and commute every day, and after that and caring for my children, I enjoy my down time with interesting people.

    I love the outdoors, and never seem to have the time lately to do the things I used to do, like camping and hiking or just being in the mountains. Horseback riding with my child seems to be the only outdoor activity I’ve been able to enjoy these days, and I’d like to improve on that!

    I love to travel, and I’ve done quite a bit – I’ve found that people who move around and travel frequently tend to be calmer, more curious and confident, and tolerant of different people and situations. All of this is attractive to me.

    So many different things capture my attention that it’s hard to summarize my interests. I soak up anything related to science, history, and the natural world, but I also enjoy sports, movies, documentaries, all kinds of music, and I’ve listened to practically the entire library’s books on tape and CD during my commutes. It doesn’t matter what the story or topic is, as long as it’s written well, and the narrator has a sexy voice!

    I’m a sensual person, meaning that I really enjoy anything that brings pleasure to the senses – good food and drink, art, architecture, beautiful scenery, beautiful music (especially guitar and piano), laughter, being physically active, and physically close to another person. I communicate through words and touch with people I feel comfortable with. I’ve been told that I’m very passionate, both in mind and body. This confuses people sometimes, because they want to think of me as either a nerd or a hedonist, when I’m really a maddening blend of both.

    I’m intuitive and a little psychic. For that I thank my Irish grandmother, who taught me that it doesn’t matter whether divine help comes from God and the saints or the spirits that haunt the house, as long as you appreciate it when it comes. She also taught me to not be afraid of the things you don’t understand. Considering how curious I am about everything, this is a good trait to have!

    Being a good person is more important to me than getting what I want. I’m sensitive to other people’s feelings. I am kind and gentle and caring – I like to make sure that everyone is happy. This doesn’t mean that I move in and do laundry and housework, only that I try to help out where I can.

    Even though I don’t mind being by myself, I’m not a loner. Eventually my goal is to find my soulmate, and if I find him through this that would be great, but right now my expectation is to meet interesting people and get out and do… whatever! So ask me out for coffee and we’ll see where it goes!
