I Would Describe Myself As Retired early so I'm free to travel and enjoy life. Love outdoors-hiking, camping, skiing, scuba. I also to chill by a fire, good wine, & TV.

I look and act much younger than I am. I have no kids, no baggage and just want to find someone to be a friend 1st, take it slow and see what happens.

I recently moved to Asheville and would love to get to know some folks here. Originally born in Hendersonville, my family later moved to the beach--but I've always loved the mountains and felt at home here. I took a 20 year detour as an army officer but defn don't fit a single stereotype there=). I'm feminine and non-structured. The experience was great, I got to jump out of airplanes, travel around the world, stretch myself as a leader, work at the White House, and made incredible friends. The best part is that I retired in my 40s, I get my pension and medical, so I'm free from the 9-5 workaday world to travel, play and choose work that is meaningful.

I do occasional team building seminars and paint. I'm into decorative and faux painting, canvas art and I published a book on it: The House that Faux Built. Transform Your Home with Paint, Plaster and Creativity.

What I'm like...Eclectic, content, generally optimistic, laid back, independent, confident, up-front and direct, honest, likable, fun, good hostess, great cook, and I have a sense of humor.

I grew up with fine things but am non-materialistic. The important things for me are friendships and experiences-not things. So why this? I'd like to meet men of quality who are educated and well travelled, interesting, etc This seemed like one venue to try.
